A Soldiers Wife
Longing for hime
Needing him
Waiting for him to call
Waiting for him to return
Not knowing when he will
Wishing to spend the rest of his life with him
Or until he must leave again
knowing he may not return
Going through everyday
And not knowing how
Wanting and needing to get ahold of him
Just to hear his voice and know that he's ok
All the things a soldiers wife goes through
Day by day life goes by
As she sits there numb unable to move
Wondering if she made the right decision, knowing she did
So as she says good~bye one more time
And says I love you again and again
Hearing his voice crack through the distance
And she begins to cry as he says good
Wishing to be able to kiss him and hug him forever
And the line goes dead
And it starts all over again for the soldiers wife!
